WHO WE ARE

Founding Partners, Jason Foster and Mary Cerio have worked together since 2011. They share a proven, disciplined approach to investing: utilizing a vast network of local relationships to uncover quality, off-market assets and creating value through proactive management, improving operations, and increasing revenue via loss-to-lease recapture and repositioning under-utilized properties. The team is complemented by established third-party service providers who help to ensure daily oversight of investments and to provide best-in-class reporting.

Together, Jason and Mary are responsible for the Firm’s operations and management, including development and management of its investment mandate; sourcing, structuring, financing, asset management, portfolio management, and disposition of the Firm’s portfolio; and leading the Firm’s capital raising and investor reporting efforts.

JASON FOSTER
Partner

Jason brings over 14 years of diverse real estate experience.

Prior to founding 42 North Capital, Jason was a Founding Partner of Rhino Capital, LLC where he successfully acquired and managed over $75 million of real estate investments on behalf of sophisticated investment partners. Previously, Jason spent time as a Director of Investments with Alcion Ventures, an Investment Associate with Praedium Group, and a Project Manager with Cathartes Private Investments.

Throughout his career, Jason has participated in the acquisition, asset management and disposition of over $3.5 billion of real estate investments.

Jason received both an MSRED and a Masters of Finance from MIT and Bachelor of Science in Finance from Boston College.

MARY CERIO
Partner

Mary brings over 14 years of diverse real estate experience.

Prior to founding 42 North Capital, Mary was the Director of Investor Relations and Marketing for Unison Realty Partners, a retail operator and investment manager with nearly $100 million of real estate under management. Previously, Mary spent nearly a decade with Alcion Ventures, an SEC Registered Investment Adviser. She served as Alcion’s Director of Investor Relations and was responsible for the firm’s investor relations program, including capital raising, reporting, marketing, and regulatory compliance for the over $1.4 billion of equity commitments from a diverse investor base.

Mary received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Boston University and is an active member of CREW, WIRE and Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston where she serves on the Family Selection Committee and the American Dream Awards Fundraising Committee.
